First impressions from the Motherland

Good morning from Korea (aka the ‘Motherland’ for some of us diaspora).

It’s been a minute since my last newsletter; there’s a slew of different takes on culture I’m looking forward to sharing from my trip here in the coming weeks - from the excellent(ly ubiquitous) coffee culture, and life’s many conveniences to a peek at fashion, political leanings, K-pop’s current vibe, and a few talks and standout screenings from the Busan International Film Festival.

Plus: some of these issues will be quite different as I’ll be sharing my IRL individual experiences which will take a different lens on culture, so stay tuned.
