IN THIS ISSUE:

  • Koreans say dating feels transactional

  • Gold bar vending machines pop up

PREMIERES

  • June 7

    • “Hierarchy” (Netflix)

    • “My Military Valentine” (Viki)

This week’s premieres “Hierarchy” promises all that is dark and sinister within the jungle of a well-heeled high school. A fallen pop star and a soldier in “My Military Valentine” get tangled in a romance against a backdrop of Korean unification.

Also: fyi “Pyramid Game” is streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.

(S/o: He had a great character arc back in “Because This Is My First Life.”) As for his co-star, Nam Gyu-ri, I’ll forever associate her with one of the best kiss scenes in Kdrama (dayumn, those sparks) as my podcast co-host and I once detailed).
